How often should I change my motor oil if I drive a 40 mile round trip freeway commute every day?
My truck is just 5 years old and it runs great. I sort of procrastinate when it comes to changing the oil and wonder how long can I go between changes and is there a type of oil (synthetic?) that can allow me to go longer between oil changes?

Your truck's oil need to be changed at least once a year - or every 7500 miles. If you drive just 40 miles each day (even 7 days a week), then you would put less than 6000 miles a year on it. So, once a year should be good for you. Also, any auto parts store will have severl different products available for extra protection and effectiveness. Just ask them and they will hook you up!
