What is a Pony Car and when were they first manufactured?
Everybody calls the Ford Mustang a Pony Car, but what is the definition of a Pony Car and which other cars are in this category?

The Ford Mustang is considered most widely to be the first Pony. Now, Plymouth lovers will tell you that the Baraccuda was actually at market a full 2 weeks before the Mustang. However, on April 17, 1964, the Mustang captivated the attention of the masses at the New York World's Fair.
