You hear about "civil rights", "equal rights", and the right to bear arms, but are there rights that guarantee education? How can we know what our educational rights are?

There are three documents which politically outline the fact that everyone has the right to an education. The U.S. Constitution; the United Nations International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 – Article 13; and Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights are all involved in guaranteeing the right of education to people bound by those documents.
