Actuaries are specialists in risk analysis and require significant training in mathematics. They are involved in structuring business policies which reduce risk and improve profitability and financial stability. They are paid handsomely. New actuaries make about $57,000 annually. Experienced actuaries make well into the hundreds of thousands per year.
