What is a paralegal?
I have been a secretary and business assistant for a while now and am looking for a way to extend my career into a more interesting and lucrative zone. I understand that there is a profession in law which, while not demanding as an attorney's, can enable me to apply my interest in research and continue to use my current skills. Is the paralegal a direction that can give me the gratificatiuon that I seek?

A paralegal is a law assistant who has completed a curriculum designed to teach the fundamentals of law. Paralegals have more education than legal secretaries, but are not authorized to practice law. They are employed to do research, generate court documents, and interview clients.
