Blueberries contain strong phytonutrients called anthocyanins. These antioxidants travel through the body and neutralize free radicals. Free radicals are unbalanced charged particles that disrupt the normal functioning of other cellular structures. Blueberries have also been shown repetitively to enhance brain functioning.
