What are GMOs?
I understand that there are many crops and other products for human consumption that are modified genetically, which most consumers are not aware of. What benefit are genetically modified organisms bringing to the consumer and what are their risks, if any?

Genetically Modified Organisms. These are often used in crop production to produce higher yields and a more pesticide resistant and drought resistant crop. There are still unaddressed concerns about the effect these gmos might have on both the environment and on humans who ingest them.
