Antioxidants travel through the body destroying free radicals. Free radicals for charged particles (ions) that wreak havoc on cellular structures. It is widely believed that free radicals are the main cause for all types of cancer. Free radicals are unbalanced and they attack balanced cellular structures and steal electrons from them. This leaves that previously balanced cellular structures in an unbalanced state. Free radicals are like wrecking balls inside of your body. Antioxidants destroy free radicals.
