A dog must either obey because it loves you and desires to please you - or because it is afraid of getting in trouble. Dogs have memories and are capable of amazing things. They are also like children and like to test your limits! They are smart, so try talking to them nice. Ask them if they wouldn't mind calming down when you have guests. Then, if they refuse, isolate them when you have guests. Make them feel like they are excvluded. Then, you can train them to be respectful of your guests and that those behaviors are completely not acceptable.
