What are the steps in the Scientific Method?
How long has the method that modern scientists use to gather data and prove or disprove their theories? When a scientist wants to find out if his theory is correct, what steps does he take?

Name the problem or question, form an educated guess, test your hypothesis through experimentation and study, check and interpret results, and report results to the scientific community. The basis of the scientific method dates back to the ninth century and Aristotle, although Muslim scholars at the same time were also describing similar methods.
